Diamonds on my mind

I would love to have a new wedding ring. I don't have one that I can call "just my own." I wear a ring that was handed down to me. At the time I was completely fine with that. But now that we are slowly approaching our 10th anniversary, I think it's time for a replacement. It's not that I don't adore the rign I already have, but I would love to have one that totally represents me. I saw one once that was pink sapphires & diamonds. I was instantly infatuated. But in reality I know that a new ring is not in my immediate future, not with this economy. Unless I were to stumble upon some loose diamonds. Haha! Then I could just whip me up a new ring. But I really do not see that happening!

Weenie Roast!

I can not wait for the annual weenie roast tomorrow!!!! It's always tons of fun!

Puff Puff

No one in my family smokes. But my hubs used too. And I know that he has times, when he has urges to have "just one" cigarette. But I'm glad he doesn't give in. People who do smoke have such a difficult time in quitting. People struggle with it greatly. I have several friends, who will stop, but as soon as life gets stressful they immediately run back to cigarettes. I've seen some different things on the news about an electronic cigarette. I wonder how well they work?

Great Car Insurance

I am so grateful, I have not had to use my car insurance but only twice since I began driving 17 years ago. When I first moved to Los Angeles, I was there for very long when I was in a wreck & almost totaled my car. The insurance company I was with at the time, were wonderful! They took prefect care of my car & me. So being so far from home & in a scary situation, wasn't as bad as it could have been.

Smooth Skin

I am going to be 33 in less than 2 months. I have been trying not to think about, to be honest. 30 was a rough birthday, 31 & 32 were good, but I'm not looking forward to this one at all. And with age comes wrinkles! I really do need to invest in some good anti wrinkle cream. Especially something for my eyes. Hey! Maybe that's what I will give myself for my birthday present.

Acne No More

What is up with the acne in my 30's? Geez! I didn't have to deal with too much acne in my teens. But I think I have had more now, than I ever did back in those days. I'm just glad I know how to cover them with makeup! I don't have acne that often, but when I do, it's a whooper! Haha! Hopefully this second round of puberty will end soon.

Truck Flare

Seeing as how we don't own a truck, we don't need truck accessories. My step dad, on the other hand has 2 trucks, that I honestly think are on their last leg. But hopefully soon he can get a new truck. I know he needs it for his business. If he does get a new truck, I know that truck accessories can be some of the thing he can get for Christmas. Which is a good idea, since he is so hard to buy for.

Fall Time!

Is October really almost over? Next week we will be going to the annual weenie roast at my Aunt Renee's. I love this of year! D & I are thinking of going to a covered bridge festival this weekend. And then we have an annual hayride in the first over November! So fun!!!

Comfort Food

Last year I lost a good amount of weight with the aid of a weight loss pill. I have gained since coming off of it. I have been considering going back on it again. I miss not having much of an appetite. I am emotional eater, so I run to food for comfort. That is not a good thing. You can't say no to food, when it makes you feel better.

Addictions

I seriously have an addiction....To Coca~Cola. I am not joking either, it is bad & I can not stay away from it. I will give it up for a week & then some traumatic happens in my life & I have to have it to cope. Or I get a migraine & need it to help ease the pain. I go out to eat & have to order it to make my meal complete. I can come up with any excuse to have some Coca~Cola. I wonder if there is drug rehab for Coca~Cola addicts? I would so love to kick this habit for good. But I really wonder if there are rehabs for certain addictions? I know there are alot of people here in the South that need rehab for their addiction to SEC football.

Dream of Snow

Ever since I have known D, he has talked about going to Colorado. It is one place that neither of us has been. And what a joy it would be to experience it together. I was looking (just for fun mind you) at Breckenridge. What a magnificent place! Oh how I would love to plan a surprise trip there for D. He works so hard to provide for us. How wonderful it would be to see one of his dreams come true.

Ready to loose again

How many ads are there for the best weight loss supplement? They are everywhere! I was on one of those pills for about 6 months. I loved it! I would still be on it now, but you can only take it for a certain amount of time. I plan on going back on it eventually. That stuff rocked! I lost 50 pounds. But I must say not being on it, has been challenging. I loved the energy I had. I felt like I could conquer the world If only my body naturally kept weight off, without the aide of something! Wishful thinking, I suppose.

So sad

How sad that Patrick Swayze passed away today. The first time I saw him was in the movie "The Outsiders." That film impacted me in many ways. Then when I was in the 4th grade, Dirty Dancing took over. I can still remember the girls in my class all wearing the white Keds & rolled up cut off jean shorts. That movie is one I will watch over & over.

Something that always impressed me about Patrick Swayze was his marriage to his wife, Lisa. They were married for 34 years. Now that is something to be proud of, but for a marriage to last that long in Hollywood, is a whole other accomplishment.

The Magical World Of Disney

For mine & D's honeymoon, we went to Disney Land & have always said that for our 10th anniversary we would go to Disney World to celebrate. Well, that anniversary is coming up next May. I guess I should look into some Orlando hotel discounts. I would rather have a game plan & go on & start saving money. But I am thinking there is going to be something keeping us from that trip, at least for our 10th anniversary. Many we can go for out 15th & take our babies with us!

Better Skin

I used to work at a makeup counter & when I went for my interview for the job, they inspected my skin. I had never had that happened. But they told me I was hired because I had the clearest skin that they had seen. And they knew that my skin would sell lots of skincare. Sometimes it was hard for me to tell the customers, that they reason I had clear skin was because of the products I was selling. Occasionally I would be stopped in the mall & asked what I used. And I would just tell the truth, even at the loss of a possible client. I used baby oil to take off my eye makeup & a bar of Dove soap to cleanse. And at the time I didn't even moisturize. I do know that their are people out there, that honestly just have bad skin. It's hereditary & I was fortunate to be born with clear skin genes. I haven't had the need for any acne skin treatment, except for something to clean up the occasional pimple, thank goodness.

Feeling Better

Do you ever have a gross bloated feeling? Yuck. I hate that feeling. I have heard that a good colon cleanse can help with that. I have never had one done, but I have friends that have raved over them. I also have a friend that owns her own spa & preforms colon cleanses. I still don't know if I will ever do one. But to loose a few pounds I may just consider it.

Remodeling

I think if the people who originally lived in this house came back now, they would not recognize it at all. Every family that has lived here since has done some kind of remodeling. Most of the doors have been replaced, except for one door, that still has plastic knobs. We have done alot, including this weekend, D & Danny put a roof on the porch. There are many, many thing I still want to do around here. I think I am going to go around each room & make a list to remind myself of exactly what it is I want to change.

Tricking Out The Car

We just got a new car, not necessarily by our own choosing, since a tree fell on our other car. But it is something we needed. Since D is the primary driver, we thought about decking it out with Superman auto accessories. I do know for sure I want to get a Superman car tag. And maybe some floor mats. I mean I don't want the car to look like a superhero puked on it. I just think it was be fun for D.

September?

Is next week really going to be September?!?!? It seems every year that I am older, the year flies by faster. It's super nice outside tonight. It's only 63. Aaahhhhhh....Fall is fast approaching.

Rainy Days In The Northwest

I have never been to Seattle, but it is a place, that I have always longed to visit. I think I would actually enjoy living there, since I am a fan of overcast & rainy days. I bet Seattle personal injury attorneys are pretty busy with all that rain. Rain=accidents in many forms. I love to be home when it rains. I do not enjoy driving in it. The other day, I was out running errands & it came a down pour as I was walking across a parking lot to my car. Thankfully, I now have keyless entry or I would have been even more drenched than I ended up.

Help With Weight

Oh, how I am so over having to deal with weight issues. It drives me nuts & is a constant burden. I need to find the best weight loss supplement for me. I have never been able to loose weight naturally. Only with the aid of a pills or supplement. Not sure why, but my body will just not loose weight, with exercise & eating healthy. I always have to have something that controls my hunger & helps with my metabolism.

Kid Weight

I have always battled the bulge. It has been a part of my life, for was far back as I can remember. And for those that know me, know I can remember things when I was 2 yrs old. Haha! As a kid, I would see commercials for a weight loss supplements & wish I was old enough to take them. Then when I did reach that age, I was right there buying those supplements! There are so many on the market these days. Too many to even begin to keep track off. But back when I was a little girl, there was only one that I can remember.

Internet Ease

Don't you just love the way the internet has made things in life much easier? You can pay bills, watch TV & movies, order groceries or even buy a car or house! Things with insurance are much easier as well. Like buying term life insurance online. I haven't personally bought that kind of insurance, but I have gotten car insurance. Sometimes, I forget what it was like before the internet ruled the world. Now if I don't have it, I feel lost!

Swing Along

I was just thinking back & realized I never had a swing set as a kid. I had a tire swing in a tree. But no swing set. I used to go to the neighbors houses & use their swing sets. I always wanted on with a fort or tower. But now if I have children, I want them to have their own swing set in the yard, so that they can have adventures all that they want too, without having to go next door. If I were to buy one this is what I would probably buy....

Something To Grab

This is something I have never spent any time thinking about....Industrial handles. But I guess if I were building a business, it would be something I would need to think about. I have always thought that someday I would own a retro diner. A perfect little 50's diner, complete with the jukebox & hamburgers. If I were to have that dream come true someday, I would want everything exactly the way it would have been in the 50's. So, I would need some retro industrial handles.
